Representation

The Teamster Difference

The Importance of Representation

Plant managers, company presidents, and supervisors belong to associations and coalitions that help them achieve their objectives. Unfortunately, those objectives don’t always align with what’s best for you and your fellow workers. Underrepresented workers are often disenfranchised, frustrated, overworked, and underpaid.

Once you and your co-workers become Teamsters, you combine your bargaining power. Your local union representatives, union officers, and business agents fight with you to win a fair, good-paying Teamster contract that has the job protection you deserve.

As Teamsters.org puts it, “The more union members there are in this country, the better off everyone is. Throughout our history, when unions are strong, wages go up, health care coverage improves, and pensions are strengthened.”
